Abstract

|
The nucleus from two-, four- and eight-cell mouse embryos was fused into the enucleated two-cell embryo using electrofusion system, and the ability of these reconstituted embryos to develop in vitro and in vas was examined. There were no significant differences(p$gt;0.05) in fusion rates of nuclear transplanted embryos among DC pulses and durations. The fusion rates with the developmental stage of donor nucleus i~rere not significantly different(p$lt;0.05). The rate of embryos developed to blastocyst after nuclear transplantation was significantly higher(p$lt;0.05) in two- and four-cell donor nucleus than in eight-cell donor nucleus(p$lt;0.05). The proportion of live young produced after the transfer of nuclear transplanted embryos which received eight-cell nuclei was significantly reduced(p$lt;0.05).
